You may want to implement self-management in your organisation or team. This change process like any other must be done with respect of the individual freedom. Today we explore the reasons why you should not impose self-management even if you believe it is the best management evolution ever.
First, we list the usual reactions to forced change. We won’t be surprised to hear things we are already experiencing.
Second, we draw our attention to what happens when change is initiated by people themselves.
Third, we use empathy to experience why forcing any kind of change is a sign of dictatorship. Then we will start a reflection about our ways of working.
